[Huh. She pauses a moment, likely gathering some of the supplies to her so she can better help Yukiko with the task, but when she speaks again, her tone is musing]
Neh, Yukiko-chan... when did you realize you liked Eleanor?
[jsdasoihf that is a sudden spike of praise she hadn't prepared for, and Sakura mentally buckles under it, bashful and blushing hard as she stares into a bowl]
Well... I mean-- um. I'd like to? One day...
[MOVING ON]
Though until then, you'll have to show me how you make chocolates... I've practiced a few times, but nothing fancy.
[Well, in the spirit of the holiday, Sakura naturally goes for anything heart-shaped with a wide smile], and holds one up like a prize she won at the carnival.]
Mmm, how about this one?
[Unless there's something with ghosts because that is absolutely going to be the second batch in such a case.]

[She's very happy that Sakura's suggested it though.]
I was going to do a handmade pizza. I have the dough made, and it's resting. That's not going to be as intensive as the choco, though.

[She might be recalling the first time she met and she nearly spooked the girl into an early grave with talk of Japanese mayo pizzas.]
that icon hahaha
[Plus she's made the sauce herself. Which is special.]
And it's different than what I made for her birthday. So that works out!
bahaha I love it
[Or she thinks? Sakura's a romantic at heart, but--]
I've never spent Valentine's Day with anyone so I might be missing some ideas...
no subject
[Yukiko starts the cooking as she talks...]
You'll make someone very happy on Valentine's, when it happens.

Neh, Yukiko-chan... when did you realize you liked Eleanor?

[Yukiko pauses in stirring something, considering the question.]
I knew on New Years Eve. We were at the shrine and having fun, and things just sort of clicked in my head.
Why do you ask?
no subject
[To be honest, Sakura's not sure herself. It's a question that needs considerable pause before she tries to answer]
I guess I was trying to imagine would it would be like, if I ever felt that way towards someone...
no subject
You will know, when it happens. I never thought about it, honestly, it just sort of happened and I knew it was right.
[Patting her friend gently, she grinned.]
Trust me, okay? You're great, and you'll make some boy...or girl?...very happy. When you find the person you like, you'll know.

Well... I mean-- um. I'd like to? One day...

Well we've got it all melted. What we need to do now is stir it up and then pour it into molds. Then we let it quicken.
[She gestures to a handful of molds of novelty shapes and sizes...]
Pick one. We'll make a few chocolates, and you can take some too.
no subject
Mmm, how about this one?
[Unless there's something with ghosts because that is absolutely going to be the second batch in such a case.]
no subject
For Eleanor? Yes. And for you...
[She knows you. She's already reaching for the jack o' lantern one.]
This?
no subject
If you insist, Yukiko-chan!
[staring starry-eyed at the mold before she handles it like precious glass, aaaaah. It's so beautiful.]
no subject
[Giggling, she takes that mold and begins to gently pour in the mix.]
If you want a little spice to yours, before we cool it and while it's still liquid, stir in a pinch or two of chili powder.
no subject
[She says it with intrigue, not disgust. And seeing as she regularly hits up Kei's "ramen" shop, Sakura isn't scared off by the thought of spice.]
no subject
[She reaches for some powder.]
It was sacred to the Aztecs.
no subject
[Huh. The more you know. Sakura watches Yukiko sprinkle some of the powder into the mixture, head tilted curiously]
How do you know so much about it?
no subject
[She grins.]
I like knowing the history of food. A lot.

It's also just interesting.
[She a nerd, Sakura.]
