✿ Sakura is a petite girl, barely over five foot, but with a curvy bust. Her hair is bone-straight and dark brown, falling down her back near the waist, and she has vivid aquamarine eyes.
✿ She dresses like a housewife - long skirts, cardigans, pastel colors, cute prints. Occasionally she'll get more adventurous, but she prefers covering up.
✿ While Sakura is a bit shy and quick to embarrass, she's very eager to make friends, and tends to gush excitedly about her hobbies. Some might even find themselves on the receiving end of a little sass, if she feels comfortable enough to show that side of herself.
✿ Her voice is fairly high-pitched, traditional Japanese girl material. "Cute" is the first word to come to mind.
✿ For those who can read minds, Sakura is 95% sweetness and 5% ultimate sass. She also veers towards pettiness when she feels she's been slighted.
✿ For those who can sense magic, Sakura currently has access to her magic circuits.
✿ Her parents taught her to be kind, altruistic, and empathetic, and so that's the type of person Sakura strives to be. She is easily moved by the struggles of others, to the point she has to hold back her instinctive need to meddle where she shouldn't. Doubly so if she considers someone a friend. Then Sakura loyalties will drag her by the nose into the thick of someone else's problems. |
✿ She goes out of her way to be friendly and approachable, but at her core, Sakura is naturally shy and introverted. It takes her a while to believe someone appreciates her company, and even then she can only handle human contact for limited amounts of time. At gatherings, she tends to be the wallflower of the group - actively listening but rarely comfortable in the spotlight. |
✿ As kind and considerate as she is, Sakura can get... petty. Very petty. Once the line is crossed, returning to her good graces is an arduous process that's usually dependent on how much a person grovels for forgiveness. She'll turn cold, sharp-tongued, and shoot you the most passive-aggressive smile if only to dig the knife a little deeper. |
✿ While Sakura is hardly sheltered by design, she seems to have missed out on certain teenage staples; anything pertaining to parties, dating, and fashion just soar over her head unless explained. Combined with the culture shock of coming to America, it makes her look more naïve than she actually is. It's not that she's lacking in vices - take one look at her artwork and you will know this girl is a sinner - she just hasn't had a chance to experience these things yet. |
✿ If something has a supernatural vibe to it, chances are Sakura will be all over it. She loves the unknown, the horrific, the strange. It's why she enjoys her job at the Leviathan's Claw so much; not only does the atmosphere appeal to her private aesthetics, but it allows her to express herself creatively. And if someone asked her why she loves this kind of thing, it's unlikely she could give a straight answer. For whatever reason it comforts her, and that's the most important part. |
✿ Mess with her loved ones and Sakura will claw your face off. |
✿ The second child born into a well to-do Japanese family from Fuyuki City. |
✿ Grew up moderately wealthy thanks to her parents' combination of old money and young ingenuity. As such, Sakura has never known financial hardship. |
✿ Always worried about underperforming in comparison to her brilliant older sister, which set the tone for her pervasive, low-key anxieties. This did not impact her love for her sister, but led to Sakura's assumption that she could never meet the expectations necessary to become a true Tohsaka heir. |
✿ Had trouble making friends growing up, in part because she struggled to identify her own good qualities and so assumed most people would not put up with her. Especially as a young child, she depended on her sister for companionship. |
✿ Took on odd hobbies in a subconscious attempt to set herself apart, including the art of tea ceremonies, and becoming a horror fanatic. It... certainly worked, to a degree, but also led to her parents worrying about her mental health.. |
✿ Eventually found solace in expressing herself through watercolors, with the added bonus of subtly shunning her parents' wishes to take on a profession with more pedigree. For all her desire to please the people around her, she felt she lacked authenticity as a person and thus needed to escape her parents' coddling, especially as they seemed to take her sister's pursuits more seriously. |
✿ For that reason, fled to Recollé to visit her sister and perhaps apply to the university's art program. Unfortunately, her sister was nowhere to be found, and the influence of the city resulted in Sakura renting out a cheap apartment. |
✿ She currently works for Jaeger at his occult shop and is on the hunt for a second job. She has joined Recollé U's art program, but unfortunately is struggling due to the weight of her past live's memories. |
✿ Has a terrible habit of switching into Japanese when she's flustered, upset, or salty. |
✿ Was born with a jetpack on her back, just so she can be ready to launch herself off a bridge if anyone dares her. Do not engage her stubborn streak; you will lose. |
✿ Prefers classical music to most modern stuff, and especially enjoys violin pieces. |
✿ Loves to doodle pictures of her friends and will regularly text them the finished pieces. |
✿ Don't insinuate she's a child to her face. You will lose said face, your organs, and your pride. |
✿ Once sold out a classmate who stole someone's panties and helped stage the revenge plan. Itching powder was involved. |
✿ Has a scar on her left knee from when she and her sister were kids playing out in the woods. She loves joking how it traumatized her for life (it did not) |
✿ On those rare occasions she pisses someone off, Sakura cheats by baking their favorite food and being all around adorable/pitiful until they forgive her. Yes, it actually works. |
✿ She owns two cats, Akemi and Yumiko. Akemi is without a doubt the trouble child, able to reach places no kitten should, while Yumiko is the more aloof (though affectionate when Sakura is having a hard time). |
✿ Lives on a futuristic airship known as the Mayship with her best friend, May Sfondi. |

| BIRTHDAY. | March 2nd |
| RESIDENCE. | Emily Household |
| OCCUPATION. | High school student |
| ORIENTATION. | Senpai-sexual |
| DATING STATUS. | Hahahahahaha-- |
| HEIGHT. | 5'1" |
| BUILD. | Petite but curvy |
| HAIR. | dark purple |
| EYES. | purple |
✿ Sakura is a petite girl, barely over five foot, but extremely curvy up top (dem double Ds). Her hair is bone-straight and dark purple, falling a little past her shoulder, and she has purple eyes. She is always seen wearing a pink ribbon on the left side of her hair.
✿ She's normally seen in her school uniform, but outside of class tends to dress fairly conservatively. Knee-high skirts, long sleeves, clothing of that nature.
✿ To most of the world, Sakura wears a neutral expression and never strays from distant politeness. To her friends, she is a warm individual who, while still quiet, enjoys teasing and being apart of a small group.
✿ Her voice is fairly high-pitched, traditional Japanese girl material. "Cute" is the first word to come to mind.
✿ For those who can read minds, Sakura is 99% depression, bitter curses, and negativity wrapped up in one. Give this child a hug.
✿ For those who can sense magic, Sakura currently is connected to the Root, which means she's a walking mana battery. That's a looooot of power she's carrying in such a small body.
✿ In public, Sakura presents herself as a modest, polite, and quiet teenager. She is obedient, and people would offhandedly cite her as “nice” for no other reason than they can’t think of better word. |
✿ But underneath her neutral expression exists a very sad and broken girl. Years of torture and abuse at the hands of her adoptive family have turned her lonely, accustomed to cruelty, and the result is Sakura remains polite in her interactions while making few efforts to branch out. The only people she is seen with are Shirou, her brother, and the archery club (in the club's case, she maintains emotional distance) |
✿ As a result of being constantly abused (and in her brother's case, the subject of rape), Sakura is secretly vindictive towards the people she thinks have wronged her, and bitter at the happenstance which landed her in this cycle of abuse. However, she also believes herself to be a hypocrite for thinking these things; why should she pass judgement on others when she follows the whims of her Grandfather with all the resistance of a broken puppet? |
✿ Her inability to escape her Grandfather is why Sakura sees nothing but a coward who has accepted her fate. She won’t run away, can’t bring herself to take her own life, and so must live with the fact that there is no one to save her. Thus there's little point in picking up the broken pieces left in the wake of her grandfather and step-brother. |
✿ However, for all her bitterness, a deep seed of resilience is what defines Sakura’s core. Her grandfather handpicked her because he thought her fragile – then tortured her for years, implanting a Worm Crest in her body to break her spirit and mold her into a fitting vessel – and yet his abuse has yet to strike the killing blow. She bears through her training with great stoicism, never fighting back but never giving in, like a splintered mirror that won't completely shatters. |
✿ She does have other facets to her personality, of course. In the right company, Sakura transforms into a more optimistic, hopeful individual. While still very quiet, she can laugh and smile, even gently tease her friends. She stands as a well of compassion and makes it her job to cheer others on should they need the extra boost. There’s no shortage of stubbornness in her, either, especially when she’s determined to make herself useful, or when the people she cares about are pushing themselves beyond their limits. |
✿ Though on the flip side, being so starved for positive interactions, Sakura throws most of her efforts into increasing Shirou's opinion of her, through cooking and housework. He's her sun, her moon, her guiding star, the one good thing to come into her life. The thought of losing him hurts her deeply, even though she doesn't think she deserves his affections. |
✿ This pining for Shirou thus puts her at odds with her biological sister, Rin Tohsaka, the girl who was chosen to head the Tohsaka household because (Sakura assumes) she was the better choice. Sakura loves her sister, yet at the same time it's Rin whom Sakura blames more than anyone else for her suffering. After all, she has never tried to rescue Sakura from her plight, and the kindness expressed during those empty moments in the school hallways isn't enough to bridge the gulf between them. That Sakura knows Rin is attracted to Shirou (and vice versa) is a constant knife in her heart. |
✿ These two relationships in Sakura’s life highlight that while she’s made gains into being a more open, thoughtful person, Sakura is still wrought with jealousy, bitterness, and curses. Happiness is just a pipe dream in the end. The world cosigned her suffering by standing silent when she cried for help all those years ago, and what's left is a girl searching for a hero. |
✿ Get this girl some therapy is what I'm saying. |
✿ Sakura did not deserve any of this. |
✿ Zouken and Shinji, meanwhile, absolutely did. |
✿ A cautionary tale on why you shouldn't piss off abused teenagers. |
✿ The King of Heroes tastes delicious with soy sauce. |
✿ Rocks fall, holy shit that's a lot of dead bodies. |
✿ She's from the Normal End because I have no soul. |
